The World of Generative Art

Lately, I’ve been captivated by the world of generative art and have been diving deep into exploring it.

With a background in architecture, I find something uniquely fascinating about using programming to generate endless forms. The process of crafting shapes and patterns through algorithms feels akin to the architectural practice of drafting blueprints—it’s structured yet incredibly creative.

Recently, I’ve been reading Daniel Shiffman’s renowned book, Nature of Code. The way it delves into expressing the laws of nature through code is both refreshing and inspiring. I can’t help but think that if I had come across this book during my university days, while working on computer simulations, I might have fallen in love with programming much sooner.

Additionally, Generative Art: A Practical Guide Using Processing and FORM+CODE in Design, Art, and Architecture are phenomenal reads. These books are must-reads for anyone exploring generative art or seeking new possibilities in design and architecture. They are filled with ideas that make your heart race and spark a flood of concepts you’ll want to try immediately.

Moving forward, I’m excited to continue exploring this field and pushing the boundaries of my creative potential.
